We are seeking a high-performing Account Manager with strong industry knowledge—particularly in stop loss and medical risk management—to join our Phoenix-based team.
Position Summary:
The Account Manager serves as a primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams. This role combines service, strategy, and implementation, ensuring an exceptional client experience from onboarding through ongoing support and renewal. The ideal candidate is solutions-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a subject matter expert in medical risk management, self-funded plans, and stop loss insurance
Lead account implementation for new clients, managing timelines, documentation, and coordination across stakeholders
Maintain deep knowledge of current market trends, financial, and legal compliance issues impacting benefit plans
Serve as a liaison between clients, vendors, and internal departments to resolve routine and escalated issues
Support HR teams and members with real-time issue resolution and guidance
Participate in client meetings, renewal discussions, and strategic planning calls as needed
Track and manage client needs using a detailed follow-up system to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
Coordinate initial and renewal paperwork and ensure timely execution in collaboration with the Risk Manager
Provide hands-on support to Vault’s internal HR and client service teams
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in account management within healthcare, benefits, or insurance (TPA or self-funded experience preferred)
Strong understanding of stop loss, claims, and compliance within self-funded plans
Proven ability to manage client implementations and ongoing account relationships
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Highly organized and self-motivated with attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and project tracking tools
Location:
Phoenix, Arizona (Full-Time, On-Site)
Salary:
$80,000 - $120,000 commensurate with experience
